Mac video card Geforce# vs vid. ram#?

I have a mac book pro, with 2.5 gigahertz, 4 gigabite, and Geforce 8600, but only has 256 Mb video card ram. Do you think that's good enough for like graphic designing, and game play, like the high end. Just let me know how bad a 256 mb ram of videocard could hurt my game play, if it does at all. compare it to 7600 geforce, and like 1 gb ram. I don't know how to determine...

Thanks|||256MB is plenty to play games and graphic designing. It is the highest you can get with a macbook pro as of now. Compared to the macbook it is a huge jump. |||It is ok for graphic design, but for really high end gameplay, no.

Memory really isn't a big issue, as long as it is more than 256 MB.
