Dual Video Card using only one monitor, Mac?

On Windows, you can use a dual video card, and only have one monitor connected and it function perfectly normal. Is this not possible on Mac? Is the only solution to remove the dual video card and install a single one?|||This dual videocard setup is called either SLI or Crossfire

it depends on what company made it (nVidia or ATI)

they act the same though

it joins 2 videocards to make the power 1.9x more powerful than just 1 single one.

it is not possible on a Mac since Macintosh does not have a SLI or Crossfire compatible motherboard

nevermind, change that

you can have up to 4 videocards on the Mac Pro

but you have to pay a lot of money just for it

and the video cards arn't worth it|||you don't have to have both of them hooked up, I'm only using a 24" right now with my G5, but I can hook up two if I want to
