Adding a regular PC video card to a 2009 mac pro?

I have a 2009 mac pro with a nvidia gt120 vid card already installed. I also have a windows 7 installed on the second hard drive. Is it possible to move the gt120 to a different slot and install a PC version of a video card eg. gtx295 and only use it while running windows 7?

I know that a pc graphics card will not work with mac os x. that is why i want to move it to another slot to run only on mac os x while i have the pc video card run only on windows 7

im aware i would have to switch the monitor cables everytime i switch between the OS|||Yes get an Nvidia because RAdeons I think have bad cross-platform support. You can even get the mac driver for it at the nvidia website.Only the GeForce 200 series has Mac support. The newer 400s dont have it (yet I think) and the older ones neither have support. So the 295 is a good choice if you want to use it with your mac too.

That means you can get rid of the old low end gt120.
